My name is Aldo. I live in Jamaica Plain, a neighborhood in the city of Boston in the United States. I live here with my wife and our 3 year-old daughter.
I have a broad professional and educational background: I majored in Psychology and then completed a Masters Degree in Cognitive Semiotics in Aarhus, Denmark 🇩🇰. I have worked at a couple of startups[1][2] in roles involving product management, training and consulting. I have also taught two University courses at Northeastern University: Visual Cognition for Information Design and Biometrics for Design.
A few years ago I discovered notebooks (a.k.a. literate programming) and fell in love with them from day one. I now use them as my main medium for designing visualizations and exploring data in combination with open source tools such as arquero, observable plot and vega-lite.
